Odds that we build ourselves, only from Form and never influenced by the Market.

We do our own analysis of past performance: horse, distance, conditions, jockey, trainer – and many other factors – across all the horses in the race.

We calculate probabilities for each horse, not just of winning, but for all the positions in the race.

And we check our own G·U·T as well, letting you know if the horse has won on today’s firm or soft/heavy ground [G], or is an unknown [U] only because the form book is too thin, or whether this horse is from a yard where the Trainer [T] is on a streak that is beating the form book.

And we keep recalculating throughout the day, until the Off, as runners drop out, course conditions change, if the number of each-way places drop and even if the jockey or trainer is having a great day at this meeting.

Steady

We mark a horse as Steady when the horse with the highest MinOdds Win Probability is the same as the Market’s choice as Favourite.

Juicy

A Juicy horse is, when we calculate that the probability of the horse finishing in an each-way place, is much greater than the probability implied by the Market price.

Favourite [Fav]

If we don’t agree with the Market on which horse will win the race, we show the Market’s horse as Favourite [Fav], and we show implied MinOdds Fair odds alongside the latest odds that we’ve received from the Market.

What do all these calculations reveal?

There is no crystal ball for knowing where any horse will finish in a race. Rarely does any horse’s MinOdds Win Probability exceed 50%. That’s a fact of UK & Ireland horse racing that we can 100% agree with, the Favourite loses more often than it wins. But that doesn’t stop the sport from being fun to watch and to follow and, with a MinOdds pass, you get to see our probabilities of your horse winning and of being placed.

Racing is supposed to be fun. We never claim we can see the future.
